About Pamela:
Pamela Hervey (Pam) is the founder of Pamela Hervey Wellness LLC. She is a mother of two, a former corporate executive, a passionate leader on a non-profit board, a musician, and an advocate for positive change in health and wellness.
As a health coach, she focuses on the relationship between nutrition and lifestyle and how they each affect health. She supports clients in the areas of nutrition, movement, weight management, stress reduction, relationships, spirituality, and work/life balance. Harmony in these areas is essential for optimizing health in all its many dimensions.
Pam believes in the bio-individuality of wellness: that no two people are the same and that there is no single strategy that fits all. She offers a unique approach to support you on your wellness journey – one that centers on unconditional presence, active listening, strategic guidance, and a comfortable atmosphere for your growth.
Pam’s own health journey, as well as those of her mother and daughter, have given her insight into the power of functional and integrative medicine, nutrition, and health. Diagnoses in her family of Celiac Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, and other autoimmune conditions compelled her to learn about the complexities of living with these conditions. This, in turn, fueled her desire to become further educated in health and wellness, and to share her knowledge with others in support of their own pursuit of health.
Through this process, Pam has learned that health has many facets: that nutrition is more than what we put on our plates, that prescription medicine does not always address the root cause of what ails us, and that the parts of life that feed our body, mind, and spirit – other than food – are equally, if not more, important. To further her education, Pam earned a certification as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN). She is trained in bio-individuality, multidimensional health, and evidence-based coaching modalities. She is also certified as a Functional Nutrition Counselor from the Functional Nutrition Alliance.
Pam earned her BS in Electrical Engineering from Lafayette College and her MBA in Finance and Strategic Management from Boston College. Following her MBA, she worked in Equity Research at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and later in Corporate Development and Engineering at Teleport Communications Group (TCG). This career path gave her experience in management, leadership, communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning. Pam left full-time employment to raise her two daughters, and during that time also cared for her mother, who had been diagnosed with neuropathy and Parkinson’s Disease.
Additionally, she devoted her time, efforts and financial resources to organizations and causes with missions that inspired her. In particular, she has spent more than two decades as a member of the Board of Directors of Friends of Karen, a non-profit that provides comprehensive support to families with children battling cancer and other life-threatening illnesses, serving in many leadership roles, including Board President.
As a health coach, Pam has found her rhythm in guiding her clients toward vibrant wellbeing. She shares techniques, strategies, and information to help them create healthier habits and small, sustainable changes that improve the way they feel. She assists in transforming frustration into clarity, uncertainty into empowerment. Pam has walked this path and will help you create a wellness journey that feels both grounded and liberating. Let’s find your own unique rhythm.
A drummer and singer who is inspired by the joy of a perfect harmony and the ease of a seamless rhythm, Pam believes that a balanced life should feel as natural as a drumbeat. Her mantra is “Live Life in Rhythm”.
Pam lives in Westchester County, New York.
